6th International Conference on Biodiesel – A Fuel on the Move
On 7 and 8 May 2013 The Association of Quality Management Biodiesel (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Qualitaetsmanagement Biodiesel e.V., AGQM) will host its ‘6th International Conference on Biodiesel’ in Berlin.
One session of the conference will deal in particular with the increasing requirements Biodiesel must fulfil both as pure fuel or blend component with regard to emissions, performance, material durability and wear as well as the reduction of fuel consumption. Thus Biodiesel must bear up to an environment with demands for ever-increasing requirements concerning its quality.
Beside the controversial debate on quota politics and the submission of sustainability documentation for biofuels, the conference also intends to bridge political and economic framework and engine technology.
As part of a conference session on ‘Engine related aspects of Biodiesel’, research results of tests on long-term stability and combustion behaviour of Biodiesel in modern Diesel engines will be presented by means of the exemplary Range Extender Motor Steyr Motors released for pure Biodiesel fuel; also, Continental’s latest fuel sensor will be introduced.
The conference addresses representatives of industry and associations, authorities, laboratories, scientific institutes and interested individuals who are all invited to exchange information and have fruitful discussions. The conference will be held in both German and English; all speeches will be translated simultaneously. Registrations by 14 March will receive an early bird bonus.
