AGQM No-Harm List Extended - 7th Test Round completed successfully
Arbeitsgemeinschaft Qualitaetsmanagement Biodiesel e. V. (AGQM) completed its 7th no-harm test round of oxidation stabilizers which resulted in adding three new products to AGQM’s existing no-harm list. Biodiesel producers can thus select from a total of 40 tested products of 23 producers of oxidation stabilizers.
Since revising the Biodiesel standard in November 2012 even more stringent requirements concerning increased oxidation stability have been into force. Still, the now completed 7th no-harm test round shows once again that there is a large number of products available to reliably achieve the stabilization of Biodiesel. The three additionally included products are
Alpocid-BDL_M (Alpivar sj. D. Kempinska, L. Wilkanowicz, K. Tulinski)
BioStableTM600 (Innospec Ltd.)
Vulkanox 4005 (LANXESS Deutschland GmbH)
Antioxidants assure that Biodiesel made of renewable feedstock remains stable for a longer period of time and thus fit for use. In order to rule out any unwanted interaction of those antioxidants with fossil Diesel fuel when mixed, AGQM developed a wide-range and sophisticated test method in close cooperation with the mineral oil industry – the no-harm test.
The list of all products tested favourably is here available. Also, the detailed report of all products tested so far may be ordered.
